After some initial problems, and a long delay for scheduling, they resolved our issues and we are very satisfied! Cameron and Ray did a fantastic job for us, we’re very courteous and friendly.

Words alone cannot truly explain how disappointed I am in the work performed on my driveway by A-1 Asphalt. I paid over $3000 two years for them to resurface (which should be a fairly simple basic service) my driveway. They have "attempted" SIX TIMES to correct their poor quality work, which included sealing landscape woodchips, bottle caps, grass clippings, ornaments grasses into my driveway just to name a few. They have no showed twice for these "fixes", are nearly impossible to get in touch with and getting someone to return your call is a complete joke! After the third time and again another failed attempt to fix our peeling, bubbling sealcoat and the frustration of being unable to use our large driveway AGAIN for another 3 days, we asked for our money back or some sort of reimbursement so we could use a different company. We were then told us they don't give refunds! Fast forward now to TWO YEARS LATER and now 6....YES you read that correctly SIX attempts to seal coat our driveway the picture above shows you what our $3000 paid for!!! This photo is only showing one of MANY areas that look like like this through our entire driveway. Every time we mow our lawn and use our leaf blower chunks of seal coat flake off 😡 To say we are furious, disgusted and that we wasted our hard earned money is a complete understatement! We have been more than gracious, forgiving and patient with this company but have come to the realization that they will never make this right and we are out $3000 and our driveway is just going to look like complete crap! Our driveway has SIX coats of sealant now and will need to be stripped in order to try and do anything with it!! Sigh....Anyway I want to share this horrible experience so no one else will find themselves in a similar situation from this company that clearly should not be in business! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!!

I am not one to put reviews on line but I need to make sure that no one else has to deal with this company. I have been "dealing" with them for the past 2 years and have chosen to just give up and accept the fact that I will never get the black top driveway I was expecting or the $3000 plus dollars invested back. They have been at my home 6 times now and "re-did" their work. And yet again this year I have large portions pealing off. I have lost the use of my driveway for over a month at this point. They have blacktopped over a bottle cap and my large pieces of my mulch that they never cleaned out of my driveway. They cracked my new pole barn concrete approach. Oversprayed blacktop onto my home garage concrete. I had to call numerous times to get the terrible job that they did even inspected. I was told that they do not do refunds which is why I am writing this. Please don't waste your money. Do your homework and ask around. You would be better off buying 5 gallon buckets of black top at Menards and a few cases of beer for some friends to help

Francisco Gausachs and the team were a pleasure to work with from start to finish. The results match their professionalism.

Communication with A -1 Asphalt was definitely terrible. They said we ( the shared private drive I have with two other homes) would be scheduled to have our private drive get new asphalt installed once we put half down. After i paid, they said that I needed to then be transferred to scheduling. I asked if it was possible for them to transfer me right then, or are they so big of an operation that it would be a problem. They told me they were all located in the same building, but I would hear from scheduling shortly. I didn’t hear anything. I checked with my neighbors , they didn’t either. When I called back a few days later ( after I had also PAID IN FULL for my personal driveway as well by then) and they couldn’t find our contracts, either one of them. They said since they couldn’t be found, that they couldn’t schedule us. At this point, I knew that this company needed to be called out for their inferior organization skills, and hoped that at least their asphalt work would be ok. They just now completed the private driveway and my personal driveway, so nothing has been driven on yet. Everything looks ok, though the guy that sold me on my personal driveway said he would have someone come with a blow torch to remove some paint first that was on my driveway BEFORE they did my seal coat…..that never got done. Lastly, they tried to up increase the price of our shared driveway AFTER the signed contract was in….a total breach of contract, so I’m sure after an attorney getting involved was mentioned, they won’t try to manipulate us any further. So, if you have a lot of patience, they did have a lower bid than the other company we thought about working with. I guess the consumers reading this will have to be the judge if it is really worth the cost savings!
