We requested three bids from local paving contractors to repair and improve our steep hillside driveway in old Colorado city. An A Team representative was out promptly, told us about their business and had a bid in my hand within 24 hours. Our contact kept us informed as the date neared. They showed up on time, did the work as proposed and cleaned up the area. They have new, well maintained equipment and a hardworking crew.

Rick and his crew were professional from start to finish. They were intent on providing the best service possible and it shows. Had a large driveway that turned out better than ever. Highly recommend the A Team for any work you need done!

Blocked one of my driveway entrances with their trailer of equipment to leave overnight while working on a neighbors property. Neighbor was told they would move in the evening but as of 9:30 they had not. The one entrance that is needed for me to leave with my trailer and garbage truck to empty our dumpster. UPDATE-was moved when we awoke at 5 am. Who knows when it was moved, maybe middle of the night? 🙄 Could have been prevented by just contacting the owner of the driveway you were blocking.

Communication and documentation...read your contract. We had crushed concrete installed on our driveway. Per their contract, they "Flattened & Rolled my driveway" but as anyone who works with dirt will tell you (and I do) that without WATER all you are doing is pounding dust...you can not compact dry dirt. Rick and I had talked about a couple of things... he talked about that there might be a mobilization fee, and I talked about my driveway having a center crown for drainage to both sides...I even sent him a text picture showing him that My "leveled" Drive way had no crown, and he assured me that his paving machine would give me a proper crown. (see text and pictures) So they place the crushed concrete with no moisture in it, and no moisture in the dirt below it. There was no center crown as promised, and as they were rolling the top layer, they sprinkled some water, but it did nothing but keep the dust down. Then Rick, "Had to Leave" and told me that I owed not only the 2nd half payment (which I payed), but a $500 mobilization fee. I told him that since it wasn't on my signed contract, that I would not pay it... He did perform per contract and not one bit above as promised, so I refused to pay above the signed amount. Neither of us are happy. the driveway is filled in, but I am not sure how long it will last when the rain comes as it was never properly compacted at the sub-level or the final level. Lesson learned. READ your contract. If it's not there, you're not going to get it. Promises made on the phone or in texts are worthless. Copy of text exchange : Rick, I concerned that this area where the deep cut was, isn't really graded any differently. Just kind of filled in. So it's still way high on the left and low on the right. When you guys lay the concrete, will it be built with a center crown so it doesn't all run to the same area re-creating the cut from all the water running to 1 side? These guys were a god send. My 6000sqft driveway got washed out by a lot of rain and I was having a hard time finding someone reliable to fix it the right way. Rick and his crew came in and gave me an awesome quote did their diligence grading the foundation and we’re done within 2 days! They all were very patient answering all of my questions and concerns and even checked in with me after a snow storm to make sure it held up during the storm. Top notch! Would and will recommend to everyone who needs a driveway installed. Pictures are before and after.
