Acorn Asphalt and Masonry

Complete garbage company. Luckily, I managed to dodge this bullet. Avoid at all costs. Good luck getting a hold of them if you need anything at all after you paid them money. They promise you a 15-year warranty and yearly sealcoating for that same period lol Like I said, good luck getting a hold of them. Take everything they say with a huge grain of salt because they make stuff up just to get you to hire them. They pretend to be working in the neighborhood and tell you that they have left over asphalt that they can use to give you a better price. They talk very fast and use high pressure tactics to make you agree to the job. They will tell you not to worry about getting a permit because they supposedly will get it. If you are still trusting them to get the work done, ask them to show you the permit before they start the work. Better yet, call your local government agency that issues permits and ask if there's a permit taken out. I bet there won't be. Do more research on them online and stay away!

I highly recommend not using this company. Our driveway looks awful and even the owner admitted he’s embarrassed by how awful it looks. I get mistakes happen, but nothing was done to correct this. They messed my neighbors fence up by running down the side of it with a steam roller. They blew a hole in our gutter. Not to mention they said the job would take 5-6 hours. They started on a Wednesday and didn’t finish which is totally understandable with such a large driveway. But then, they were unresponsive and didn’t return until Monday afternoon only after I had to call Peter who I assume may be the owner. Peter was very apologetic and said he had no idea we have been waiting this long and would be by the same day to finish. Great, I thought maybe we had gotten somewhere. I was wrong. Layer that day, Peter and some employees showed up. We pointed out what was wrong and all he was concerned about was getting paid for the work. In short, we came to the conclusion that we all agreed how awful the work was. We paid them anyway. They committed to coming by on Monday 11/14 to seal coat and fix my neighbors fence. It’s now 11/20 and they never showed up and are again unresponsive. At this point we don’t even want them to seal coat , but don’t want anyone going through this nightmare either. I am completely understanding when things don’t go as planned but the professionalism, the quality, and the will to make things right is just non existent with this company. I see your response but it’s not giving me the option to reply so I’m responding in my original review. The driveway was done under my husbands name, Dan Caputo. I would call the number you have listed on your business page directly but unfortunately that has not gotten me very far over the last several weeks since I can’t seem to ever get a hold of anyone. Simeon and Peter certainly have my husbands number considering whenever he has sent a text, he has gotten a “read” receipt without a reply back or course.

We were approached by Mick from Acorn to see if we were interested in having the complete edges of our paver driveway updated by removing the black plastic edging and replaced with a strip of concrete the complete length of the driveway on both sides. The workman ship in our opinion was wonderful! The crew did a beautiful job and worked efficiently. They made sure that the job was done correctly and when finished, left our home free of any and all trash. We are very pleased and would recommend Acorn Asphalt if you are in need of quality work.

Our driveway looks like brand new! Mickey was out Thursday to discuss the details of what needed to be done, they came out Monday am and completed the job. Followed thru on everything he said they would do- highly recommend them

I could not have asked for a better outcome. Our asphalt driveway was sorely in need of repair and the crew at acorn did a bang up job making it look like brand new all over again. You definitely get what you pay for with this business they’re very customer service driven, and have been an absolute pleasure to do business with.
