Action Asphalt

Used this company in 2024 for a supposed "chip n' seal" driveway. They came and did it in a pretty quick fashion and finished it in the dark. Within a couple weeks after the first rain it was destroyed in certain areas. Parts where the driveway had come apart it wasn't but maybe a 1/4" inch thick i could pick up and peel with my fingers. I talked to Ed and within a month's time after talking to him finally came out to fix it. I requested for them to come out when we were home so I could witness the work. They came out while we were gone and supposedly fixed it again. The same thing kept recurring after the 2nd time "getting the driveway done right". Over a year's time I kept chasing down Ed on the phone and once in awhile he'd tell me he wants to make it right and he stands by his work etc he's on a big project or he's stacked up. When it was initially done the driveway was $13,000. The work they did was worth about $1,000 in my opinion the way it looks now washed out and looks like complete garbage. I messaged this business as well through this time and they acted like they were going to get to the bottom of it and make it right....absolute joke and a bunch of crooks! I have no clue how action asphalt is still in business or how anyone thinks they do good work! Shouldn't have to keep calling a business to fix work that should've been done right the first time! Clearly has no knowledge of how to put in a driveway! At one point he told me he was going to have a friend that is another contractor to come out and look at it to get his opinion on it. Never happend! Excuse after excuse, lies on top of lies! If anything, if he didn't think he could've done the job right then there shouldve been a refund and I would've found someone that knows how to put in a driveway!

There's quite a few companies if you look across the United States that are capable of providing an asphalt surface. The difference is the experience that you have if the result is top-tier. I chose an asphalt driveway for my home , the most important place to me and they delivered. The owner and all of the crew worked with me and went out of their way to ensure that I was satisfied. It was a big investment for me and they cared about that. They insured that I made the right choice. They earned my business initially because they did one of my neighbors driveways before I had bought my home, so seeing was believing. I didn't realize how they would take care of me as a person during the process. I recommend them because I know that they will work with the customer to ensure satisfaction.

When Ed called me and asked me to give him a review and I can honestly say he’s great to work with. He’s not one of those companies that put small repairs on the back burner, he gets to all of our jobs in a timely manner. On our bigger projects he reads prints, follows specs, and does it at a fair price where everyone is happy.

Oct. 2023 action asphalt chip and sealed our driveway. Within just a couple of months we were already seeing problems with the work. My husband and I both text and called Ed many times with the promise he would get back out here to fix the problem. In Sept 2024 they finally came back out to address the issue and again within 2 months it was failing again. We have tried to resolve this issue with Ed for the past several months where he has told me there must be another issue that would be causing it to fail and that he is not responsible. Unfortunately we are having to obtain a lawyer to get this resolved. I would absolutely stay away from this company!!!

Overall, I couldn’t have asked for better service and jobsite quality. 1300’ x9’ driveway. They sculpted the base and completed in just over a day. Ed, the owner, sincerely cares about the quality and service provided. The price he quoted was the price I paid. No hidden agenda. Very competitive pricing and I would use Action again.
