Arizona Street Works – Better Access Than a Horse Trail Sometimes, the best discoveries in life, involve happy accidents. I was driving through my Cave Creek, AZ neighborhood recently and saw my neighbor having a new driveway installed. It was not another asphalt black driveway like everyone in the Valley, but a rural appearing road that blended better with the surrounding desert terrain. I called my neighbor and she said her husband had just met the company owner, whose crew was improving municipal roadways, and asked him for a project bid to improve their private roadway. Watching the crew coordinate their machinery and materials, I called the owner of Arizona Street Works, Mr. Teddy Davis, to see if another nearby neighbor could squeeze onto his work schedule. It was the best call I ever made for a home improvement. As a rural, property owner, am improved access road is often a delayed improvement – in this case using an original ranch road installed in the 1920’s, since1985. It was better than a goat trail but looked more like an off-road path. Bottoming out with a German sedan exhaust system was an occasional reason to wince. We eventually had it bladed, and added quarter minus following annual monsoons, only to have the access return to the original topography to after runoff. For the first time in forever, we now have a hard-surface road which has the construction strength of asphalt, but the less-urban appearance of a gravel road. The trash hauler, delivery trucks and neighbors no longer have to steer from side to side to avoid rocks thrusting upwards. The new road is beautiful, strong, smooth and confirms the hose has indoor plumbing. The road crew of Arizona Street Works are ensemble players, each operating their specific machines to prepare the project, competing against each other for finish and flair. Ted came out the same day and I agree with many of the other reviews as far as his character. Ted said I would have my estimate by Monday. I never received it. I followed up with him the following Wednesday and he apologized and said he had the wrong email. So I sent him my email. By Friday I still didn't have my bid and followed up again that day, this past Monday and yesterday. Never heard back from Ted at all. Now I have to find someone else to do the job and start all over.

Ted was very prompt in coming out to give me an estimate when other companies never returned my call. He was very professional and kind (love the accent). He had an estimate for me that night!! Customer service is lacking these days but not with this company. I highly recommend them because they did an excellent job in a very timely manner.

Ted and his crew just paved my driveway. What a great group of people. Everyone was so friendly and they all worked great together. They did exactly what they said they would and actually a little more. They were very professional and actually moved my trailers for me. Rocky was great. We found out that we both grew up in the same small town. They were fast and didn’t inconvenience me or my neighbors at all. They were very accommodating. Ted is great too. He made sure I was completely satisfied. They cleaned up and left everything spotless. I highly recommend Arizona Street Works. They are the most professional group I’ve seen since I moved to Arizona.
