Fair honest review. Bid given, handshake agreement. Was told repairs within a year would be handled. No start date expressed exactly. Told I would need a receipt. May 26-Showed up unexpectedly. Guys/labor side did a great job! Had some minor hiccups, there all day but finished the job. June 5-low spots and puddles already formed…contacted about repairs. Told they’d get back to me. Crickets…nothing. Contacted again July 28th. Told they’d same story. Nothing. Again, guys did a great job doing work. I would hire them again. Dealing with the company and not sticking to their word…I’d pass. I’m sure others are very pleased. I just expect people to do what they’ll say they do. This is not the case with ownership/management side of things. Talked about future projects and how I’d like to hire them for that. Will no longer be going that route. Sad because over the chip and seal looks good. Not sure it will hold up for the 10-15 years John said it would based on these 2+ months. Sadden and frustrated went spent close to $20k and can’t even get a message or call back that I’m on my own for repairs. Would have had more than double that amount in future business.

I regret hiring Asphalt Paving Services, LLC for a $20k+ driveway project. The owner, John, was very responsive at first and the pricing was in line with other bids. His crew was available within days while others were booked weeks out, which should have been a red flag. They completed the job on June 20, 2025. It was supposed to be a one-day project with removal, grading, and a 2.5" commercial overlay. The work dragged into the evening with long gaps between asphalt deliveries, and no one checked in when they finished. That same night, I discovered they had damaged a section of my existing concrete driveway. Ring camera footage showed their steamroller being driven across the concrete, which caused the damage. When I raised this, John initially denied responsibility until I showed him the video. He then agreed to repair it. The “repair” was unacceptable. Instead of pouring proper concrete from a truck, his crew mixed bagged concrete on-site. It rained shortly after installation, and the result dried uneven and blotchy. When I questioned it, John became hostile on the phone and stopped communicating professionally. Without speaking to me, his crew later returned and PAINTED the concrete to cover up the poor workmanship. They never knocked or attempted to discuss it. I have this on camera as well. Meanwhile, the asphalt itself began failing within weeks. I was able to pull loose material out by hand. There were holes, crumbling edges, visible seams from delayed paving, and signs of low-quality, overly dry asphalt. John repeatedly demanded final payment but refused to return to inspect or address the issues. He ultimately stopped responding altogether. The cracking became so severe that by fall, I had to purchase materials and manually fill cracks myself just to try to get the driveway through winter, since it was too late in the season to have it professionally sealed. That’s not something you should be doing months after a brand-new install. Less than a yea

Asphalt Paving Service did a Great job for our pad and long driveway between the house and the shop. The crew was very nice and professional and showed respect for our property. John offered to help with any other project needs that they could do while on site which proved to be of great value. A hard-working group of guys that were diligent and skilled. They had to prep, pour and clean up completed in 1-1/2 days, including the extras. It was an honorable handshake way of doing business and no gimmicks We would use them again and will recommend them to anyone in the market for Asphalt.

5/30/24. Great work, great people. The crew was very nice and professional and showed respect to our property. John offered to help with any other project touches that they could while on-site and provided great value. Hard working group of guys that were diligent and skilled. I would use them again and will recommend them to anyone in the market for asphalt. Our driveway was around 600' long and they had the prep, the pour, and cleanup done in barely over a day. Including the extras. Handshake of honor way of doing business and no gimmicks.

Asphalt Paving Service did an excellent job on our driveway. They widened it and added an extra area going down to our lower level. Everything was done in one day, and we are very pleased with the looks and quality of the work. I feel that for the quality and amount of work they did the cost for the service was very reasonable. I would highly recommend them for any asphalt paving job that you need done whether big or small.
