Today we had a situation with Bennet motor as a broker and Astec, INC as their customer. This was by far our worst experience in all the 15 years we have been in the trucking industry. Bennett Motor Trucking Brokerage handled our load with absolute negligence and zero accountability. We booked a OD load based strictly on the dimensions they provided. Permits ordered. The customer did not comply with those dimensions, and Bennett failed to take responsibility for their mistake. As a result, our driver spent the entire day on site, and we were unable to recover our truck for other work. Despite the significant time and financial loss, all we received was only $150 TONU, (because the customer not willing to pay more on the contract with Bennett motors) and payment for permits — nowhere near adequate for the damage caused. Our company policy requires paying our drivers a $150 - 200 daily compensation when they are stuck off the load, because they spend weeks away from their families. Situations like this directly impact them, and Bennett showed zero concern. This type of business behavior is completely unacceptable. We will be sharing this experience everywhere possible to warn other carriers. Bennett Trucking is an unreliable company. Do not work with them.

Quick unload. The wait for a certain door held me up a bit. I was surprised that as much traffic as there was nobody wore safety vests.
