I had one of their signs hit my vehicle back on Sep 2024, scratched my front end, and I’m still fighting with them to get $1k to repair the scratches. I was asked to get an estimate, I did that. I was asked to get a signed statement with witness as to what happened, I did that. I was asked for pictures, I sent that. I have made several calls to Mr Davis Banks and now he is no longer responding. I vent sent an email asking what else is needed at this point. And follow up emails to the claim. I’m now getting no response. Just be super careful riding through an area they are working in, because they will not pay for damage to your vehicle caused by their work material.

I rarely write reviews, but my experience with Banks Construction working on the 17A connecting Summerville to Walterboro has compelled me to share my frustration. This project is an absolute disgrace. The handling of traffic is a nightmare; it’s as if they have no regard for drivers trying to navigate the area. Detours are poorly marked, leading to confusion and frustration for everyone involved. The roads are perpetually filthy, covered with dirt and debris that go unaddressed. It’s disappointing to see such a lack of attention to cleanliness, especially considering the impact it has on both drivers and the community. The construction has dragged on for far too long, and the lack of organization only makes matters worse. Overall, my experience with Banks Construction has been nothing short of disappointing. They need to get their act together and show some responsibility for the project they’re undertaking. This is a major thoroughfare, and the community deserves better.

They’ve been working on expanding about a 3-4 mile section of Glen McConnell Parkway in Charleston, SC for 2 years with no end in sight and from what I can tell they like to work about maybe 2 days a week if we’re lucky… but somehow they can repave all of 526 in 3 months. Finish your damn job already because you’re clearly capable.
