Exceptional! Derek managed a project for me that included repaving a driveway with a granite cobblestone edging as well as creating a brick walkway and drip edge that was previously a mishmash of asphalt and old concrete. The final product exceeded my expectation and looks incredible. Derek was easy to work with, responsive, and creative to figure out the best ways to honor our historic property in downtown Newburyport and stay within our budget. His team did all of this work on one of the hottest stretches of time this summer and were really exceptional. I wouldn’t hesitate using him again in the future and would recommend him highly.

Paved two of my neighbors driveways as a sub for another company, which Derek was not upfront about. Had some leftover asphalt, of lesser quality than most would request for their driveway, and dumped it at the end of my driveway. Looked like maybe one pass over with the roller and called it. I spoke with him the day before he dumped his scraps, as he offered me "a deal" on doing my driveway, explaining to him I'd pass for now due to needing to regrade my driveway, which would need time to settle before putting asphalt down. Included in that was to widen the end of my driveway. Derek dumped his leftover scrap at the end of my driveway instead of hauling off and disposing, then shifted blame on not returning to clean up his mess on the owner of the company that tried to give him work. HIGHLY recommend avoiding this guy. Used a sand mixed asphalt on my neighbors driveway, then didn't even cover the entire driveway of one... had to go back to finish his work. Don't waste your money on this guy!
