Ben's Asphalt

Like many others here, our HOA in RMV hired these guys at Ben’s and they did a terrible job. Hard to tell if my HOA skimped or if they were just lazy but we are left with poorly laid asphalt. It’s been over a month now and with the hot weather, it melts and spreads with car tires driving over it. Worried about kids and pets. Just terrible. And they still have to do a bunch more of the neighborhoods. A real shame.

Ive lived in a senior park 7 yrs & I can't tell you how many Asphalt companies have come in here and messed up our roads and left them filthy. THEN CAME BEN'S ASPHALT and they did an exceptional job. They even removed my old driveway and laid new Asphalt under my carport. I have OCD and like everything straight/even and tidy. I was so impressed, everything is perfect, straight lines, the Asphalt was even with the existing cement patio. All the workers were professional and worked, no standing around on cell phones. I walk my dog 3 times a day and noticed after they did the portions of the park, they took the time and swept the park. Thank you, the other companies left gravel everywhere. JOB WELL DONE to Ben's Asphalt and crew.

When it came time to replace the parking lot at my school, as Operations Manager, it was my job to find someone reliable, professional, and someone who would care about the facility as much as I do. Luckily, I found Ben's Asphalt. Joey Mendoza was our project manager, and you couldn't find a nicer, more friendly individual to collaborate with. From the moment we began discussions and plans for this project, and he and his team arrived, everything went as smoothly as it could. Even when we hit a little bump, Joey and the crew at Ben's Asphalt got to work to ensure that we stayed on schedule because this project needed to be completed by the end of our holiday break. It was like night and day when everyone returned from break, and Bill and Joey and their crews made sure everything was clean, all lines, arrows, and parking spot numbers were crisp, and they even gave us new black galvanized poles for some special parking spots we have, because the original ones looked so bad. We were SO satisfied with the work they'd done, that we have had and are having them do other work for us around our facility. I recommend you at least speak with Ben's Asphalt, if you have the need for their services. I do not believe you will be disappointed.

The HOA hired this company to replace the asphalt in the condo complex. In removing the asphalt they scarred garage aprons and broke many curbs. They damaged the trash enclosure. In replacing the asphalt they overfilled it and it crumbles when we drive over it. The rain from the downspouts accumulates and doesn’t drain to the middle of the street. They ruined all the concrete drains by leaving asphalt on all the center street drains and even onto the main street, Aliso Niguel, and entrance to the condo, Elaine Street. Power spraying after the asphalt project did not remove the asphalt on the center street drains. In other areas they under filled and the area is already crumbling even after repaving . It is especially bad in the corners and at the end of streets or parking spots. The repainting of the red curbs was equally poor. They over sprayed and and other areas are already peeling. They cut back 30 year old plants. I agree with other reviewer that said the aggregate used in this project (Village Niguel Terrace II, Laguna Niguel) was too large. Why did my HOA hire this company? I have to live with Ben’s Asphalt awful job.
