Gasim did an excellent job coordinating our front yard renovation from start to finish. He helped us choose pavers and gave suggestions that made a real difference in the final look. Throughout the project, he kept a close eye on progress and made sure the work stayed on track. What stood out most was his flexibility. When we asked for a few small changes along the way, he accommodated them without adding extra charges, which we appreciated. We would highly recommend Black Diamond for anyone considering a similar project. The team was professional and the workmanship was excellent. Several neighbors commented on how much they admired the finished yard. The project was completed on time and we’re very satisfied with the results.

We recently had our driveway and side yard (about 600 square feet of pavers) completed by Black Diamond, and we couldn't be happier with the result. The finished project is beautiful, and our project lead, Gasim G., was responsible, accountable, and fully committed to every promise he made. Although Black Diamond's bid was the highest of the four onsite estimates we received, we chose them because they provided the most detailed proposal, a firm written commitment, and a strong, verifiable reputation. Looking back, we are thrilled with that decision. One thing I learned during this project is that proper ground preparation accounts for at least 80% of the work and complexity required to build a durable paver driveway that can support vehicle traffic. Even the highest-quality pavers cannot compensate for a poorly prepared foundation. Black Diamond removed our cracked concrete driveway and excavated a significant amount of soil. To our surprise, we discovered that the previous concrete contractor had cut corners and skipped proper ground preparation entirely. Black Diamond installed a thick base of gravel and sand, then carefully compacted and leveled the area before laying the pavers. Once the foundation was properly built, the paver installation itself was relatively straightforward. As with any construction project, unexpected challenges arose along the way. Gasim kept us informed with daily updates and managed the project as if it were his own home. He paid close attention to underground gas lines during excavation, designed a solution to route water from our downspouts through an underground drain pipe before installation, and carefully addressed tree roots, the side-gate transition, and connections to our existing landscaping. The crew even removed random buried metal debris they uncovered during excavation. These issues could have caused significant problems down the road if they had not been handled properly. This is a long overdue review for Jeremy Ousset and his team over at Black Diamond Paver Stones & Landscape. I have known Jeremy for over 5 years. When he visited our property, he gave us some excellent ideas on what we could do to spruce up our yard that fit our our budget that really make the space useable for entertaining and kids playtime. Jeremy was there throughout the project to make sure everything was done according to his plan. Everything was finished on schedule and on budget!! We are very happy with the results and highly recommend Jeremy Ousset and Black Diamond.

Michael Gurtler (Senior Project Designer) - Must use for all Landscape / Paving Needs Responsive, honest, professional, adaptable to our wants and needs - could not ask for a better Project Designer from design to execution. Our backyard landscape was hard to access and on a slope, Mike and his team delivered beyond expectations. When extenuating events occurred (e.g., discovering a massive trunk under the dirt, third-party delivery truck stalling in neighborhood street, etc.), Mike immediately took action and addressed the issues to ensure project remained within reasonable timelines and within agreed budget. Furthermore, when we decided to pivot from original project plan, Mike was very receptive and easy to work with. Will definitely use Mike for future landscaping and paving needs! Jim, Jorge, Joan and everyone else that worked with us to fix up our back and then our front yard did an amazing job, beautiful pavers and amazing landscaping, you really can't go wrong if you decide to go with them. It was a joy working with them from start to finish. I've attached some before/after photos.
