I have not had them do any work for me but I certainly would have them do it. Hi there I’m Josh Houston and a few years back I was a complete moron and bothered your employees and yourself with texts or other. I want to take this time to truly express my apologies to all of you and your team. I was in active addiction and not trying to make excuses for my actions but wanted to own my behavior and words that might have been used. So I apologize to everyone and families in the Black Pearl excavation and paving world for things I did and said in my active addiction and/or alcoholism. I hope you can all forgive me and I mean when I say I’m sorry and thank you for understanding. Sincerely Joshua Houston

They got the contract to do work for the city of Roseburg. They don't use any traffic signs, cones or flaggers. This is the second time I have left my house and came around a corner to be face to face with them doing road work without any signs or indicators work is being done.

Regarding the job in Stayton,OR. It’s become very apparent over the last several months that this company is a bunch of rookies that have very little knowledge in pipe work. Every single backfill and patch has either sank or is too high. Ida street has been nothing short of a disaster for the citizens or Stayton and their vehicles. Have you ever seen blacktop be used to temp patch concrete sidewalks? This company didn’t even saw cut the asphalt so that their ditch lines and patch looked clean. I assume part of the reason these folks take no pride in their work is because they are 2 1/2hrs from home. A local contractor wouldn’t be able to show their face in public if they were responsible for the horrible debacle this job on Ida St has turned into. I honestly feel bad for the employees because they are genuinely nice guys that will literally tell you they have never done a pipe job at all let alone one of this scale. It’s a small job (less than 1/4mi total) but these guys act like it’s the same difficulty as the entire water main system in downtown LA. These guys might be decent pavers but they definitely have 0 clue when it comes to the ground below the asphalt and what it takes to end up with a smooth patch.

Are you doing the work in Stayton Oregon? You might want to read the community page if it's your company. Otherwise, You're guys are fantastic. Polite and efficient with traffic control. They were very professional all summer, working hard and leaving a good impression of the kind if peoole they are Now the road might have some complaints.
