Earlier in the winter season Of 2023 there was icy roads and a dump truck flipped and went off the road, there was no treatment (salt/sand) put down yet on a weekday as of 7 am. I had heard many complaints from my colleagues at work some coming from other Hilltowns that have to pass through Chesterfield to get to their work and get their kids to school. I sent in a complaint as well as others to the Highway department. The response has been extraordinary. Thank you to all those that work hard in this department in keeping our roads clear of snow and ice and making the commute to work and schools a safe journey.
