Ryan and the team did a great job for us and I couldn't be more pleased. We've lived with a long crusher run drive ending in a parking area for years. It's served us well, but I did get tired of rearranging the gravel every spring after a winter of snow plowing. We decided to get it paved. After doing a fair amount of research into what to specify in a paving job and the reputation of various firms in the area we went with Dependable. Good decision. Every step of interaction, from first talking with Kimberly in the office to the final review with Ryan has been seamless and professional. The scope of the project was to pave a 175'x11' drive ending in a 1500sq ft parking area. They excavated down 12", laid out geotextile, followed by various grades of stone, all compacted as it was spread and finally the initial lift of asphalt. It's recommended to do asphalt on a paving job in 2 lifts. Some firms do both at the same time. In this.climate, the quality approach is to let the first run go through a winter of freeze thaw cycles so any low spots or uneven areas can be corrected. We had some limitations around timing for the job. One issue was we needed some major tree removal work done and didn't want that heavy equipment coming in over fresh asphalt. Plus we had travel plans to work around. No problem. I let Kimbery know when the tree guys were done and 2 days later they worked us into their schedule. I was up making coffee when I heard the rumble of heavy equipment arriving. Went out to talk to the operator and he couldn't have been more friendly. I explained i hoped he could maintain the gentle curves in our drive as opposed to making it a straight line and he was "absolutely no problem". As it turned out the man is an artist with heavy equipment. Made it look easy. That was typical of every interaction I had with the team. I highly recommend Dependable Paving! Ryan and his crews were great to work with and professional. I needed a complete dig out with a new base. After speaking with Ryan and discussing their process, I knew they would do the job correctly. From using geo-textile fabric, using a two-step sub base of large and small runner-crush, and using all virgin asphalt. They truly are the best in the business, and exactly what I was looking for. Ryan and the team were incredible. We made an addition to our driveway this year and got everything we wanted + they removed and cleaned up our old retaining wall and a tree for no additional cost. The team worked efficiently and they really looked like experts in every aspect of the work they were doing.
