Very poorly marked for the no parking spots. The local businesses are suffering because of this parking situation.

Not so good. The no parking area was poorly marked, and all the handicap spots I normally use were full, so I was SO happy to find an open spot near the business I needed. I will not be patronizing downtown business going forward, due to lack of parking. There are too many other needy businesses in town with free parking.

The parking garage ticket that I was issued was faulty and I could not get back into the garage where my car was parked after the gates were locked for the evening. Luckily, someone else happened to be driving into the garage so I was able to follow them in. However, when I was trying to drive out, the ticket couldn't be read and I had to pay a $15 lost ticket fee to get the gate open. The next day I called them expecting an apology and a refund. They told me I should've have called and waited for one of them to come down and let me in/out. No refund. No apology. I had to deny the charge with my credit card company.

Had a vehicle that was cited for incorrect display of tags. Even though the officer noted on the ticket that my registration was current, FAI Parking Authority said I must pay $183 because I didn't have the sticker displayed. FYI: tickets are doubled in Fairbanks after just 1 week of non-payment. And the service was great: after standing at the window for over ten minutes, a manager by the name of Mai finally ended her cellphone conversation to assist. Not a clerk- the manager.

I enjoy the convenience of the parking garage. You get two free hours to park if your going to be quick, also the garage is under surveillance but you should still lock your vehicle up to keep any belongings safe. Just make sure to remember your downtown and report any suspicious people(s) to the good FPD!🤔
