Avoid "5 Star Asphalt" At All Costs Completely Untrustworthy & Unprofessional Do not trust Angelo or his wife business. If you are a client looking for quality work, or a supplier doing business with him, be warned: Angelo is completely untrustworthy, lacks accountability, and will completely ghost you when things go sideways. Angelo's standard operating procedure is to dump unsupervised, non-English-speaking workers at a job site, expect everything to run perfectly without any oversight, and then blame everyone else when the client inevitably rejects the sloppy results. He refuses to take responsibility for his own project management failures. Instead, he stiffed us for 17 yards of material—fully backed by plant tickets proving the mix quality was flawless—and is now ignoring all calls to avoid paying for the materials he ordered. Word is this isn't the first time he has failed to pay his workers and his material suppliers. To Angelo: I will promptly remove this review the second you take accountability and settle your debt. Until then, consider this the first step. To the reader if this is up he still hasn't taken responsibility. I will continuously update this review with the progress of the civil, and if necessary, criminal case being filed against you so the community can watch how you operate. To Everyone Else: Do business with him at your own risk. He will take your money, blame his suppliers, fail his workers, and run from the consequences.

Angelo and his team went over and above the initial scope of the work. The job they did was fantastic. They were able to keep the timeline intact, even during some bad weather. I would definitely use them again.

5Star is aptly named. The service and product we received was 5 Star. Angelo was very patient going over options and explaining the process. Will definitely use 5 Star again!

I’ve held off on posting since Angelo is a super nice guy. However, the work that was done for me is horrible. I had an extension to my existing driveway added by 5-star asphalt. They did not use a torch to join the lower quality asphalt to the excellent existing driveway so it may last 2 years, the top is wavy, the edging is sporadic/curvy, basically looks like a drunk driver was working, and they extended past the existing driveway with the edge by over a foot. There’s more but the point is here. I had the original asphalt company that did my main driveway come to see if they could fix it. They would only tear it out and replace it all. The cost would be extreme! We have to live with it and we are redoing our house. Sad!

We are more than pleased with our new driveway from 5 Star Asphalt. They were prompt, professional and very courteous. The driveway looks great! Our neighbors have complemented and were astounded that the crew was in and out with all their big trucks and such and there was no interruption on our little cul-de-sac area! Very happy indeed.
