Genstar Masonry and Landscaping

We first met Mike and Scott from Genstar Masonry & Landscaping back in the summer of 2022 when we were getting a few quotes and trying to figure out what to do with our backyard. We were dealing with grading concerns, water issues near our garage, and an old semi-inground pool that had reached the end of its life. At the time, we were weighing different options, whether to completely remove the pool, do a full gut renovation, or pursue something in between. We took our time deciding what to do, and throughout the entire process Mike and Scott could not have been more patient, understanding, and professional. There was never any pressure, just honest guidance, incredible knowledge, and genuine care in helping us make the right decisions for our home and family. By Fall 2025, we were finally ready to move forward, and choosing Genstar for this project was one of the best decisions we could have made. What Genstar delivered exceeded anything we could have imagined. They completely solved our drainage and water issues and transformed our backyard into what honestly feels like a luxury resort. The project included a brand new pool, stunning pavers, a beautiful pavilion, shed, built-in grill and griddle area, and an incredible fire pit space that has completely changed how we enjoy our home. What truly separates Genstar from everyone else is not just the quality of the work, which is absolutely top-tier, but the partnership throughout the entire project. Mike, Scott, Tommy, and Christian were unbelievably attentive, flexible, responsive, and patient every step of the way. When we were deciding on materials and design, they took us to multiple homes to see their prior work in person, which made a huge difference in helping us visualize everything and feel confident in our decisions. No matter how many questions we had or how many times we wanted to walk through details, they always picked up the phone, answered texts, and came to our house to go through things with us

I usually do not write reviews but this time I have to. I have to give Genstar a 5 star review, if I can give it 10 stars I would. First off meeting with Scott, Mike and Tom was a pleasure. They were very professional and courteous. They explained the job from start to finish. They said it would take a week to complete the job and it was successfully accomplished on time. The work crew was amazing, this job had a lot of moving parts. The demolition of existing patio, installation of dry wells, paver installation, landscaping, plumbing, painting and electrical work. All work was done on time and the cleanup was exceptional. If you are considering having quality masonry work done don’t think twice, Genstar is the way to go, you won’t be disappointed.

We recently had a Cambridge paver patio installed by Genstar Masonary and we couldn’t be happier with the entire experience. From the very beginning, we worked exclusively with Scott, and right away we knew he was going to make sure we received outstanding service. His communication, professionalism, and attention to detail made the entire process smooth and stress free. The project started exactly when promised, and the crew was extremely professional, detail oriented, and clearly took pride in their work. One thing we especially appreciated was how accommodating Scott was throughout the process. We changed our minds couple of times about the size and layout of the patio, and he was  always patient, flexible, and willing to adjust and expand the design to make sure we got exactly what we wanted. The gentlemen at Genstar Masonry truly went above and beyond, far exceeding our expectations with our backyard renovation project.
