HP did a great job removing old asphalt and a circular driveway that we weren't using. New driveway looks great, clean edges, super smooth. Price was reasonable, responded quickly and availability was within a week to start. Highly recommend!

’m beyond frustrated with the experience I’ve had with this company, and I would strongly advise others to think twice before hiring them. In August 2024, I met with Rich and clearly explained that the main reason for repaving my driveway was because my cars were scraping at the top. He assured me this would be corrected. Based on that, I agreed to move forward. Two weeks later, the crew showed up—led by his brother Joe, not Rich. I again explained the issue and expectations before they started. Everything seemed fine at the time. After the work was completed and we waited the recommended 4 days, we started using the driveway… and the problem was actually WORSE. My cars scraped even more than before. There was absolutely no correction made. I contacted Rich, and months later (November 2024), they came back—but instead of fixing anything, they dropped off three plastic speed bumps and told me to place them where I thought the scraping was happening. That made zero sense and, unsurprisingly, did nothing to fix the issue. I continued to follow up with them throughout 2025. Communication became terrible—short replies, being passed off to Joe, and no real effort to resolve the problem. In October 2025, they came back and tried to “fix” it by adding more pavement to the top of the driveway, which made it look worse and start breaking apart. They returned again and removed part of the driveway, then repaved it—but it ended up basically the same as before, and in some spots even worse. I was told they’d come back again in November 2025… they never did. Months went by with no updates. I reached out again in March 2026 and was told they’d follow up with options. Nothing happened. In April 2026, after I reached out again, Joe called me just to say there was nothing more they could do—and then rudely hung up on me. I would highly recommend Hamden Paving. I met with Rich and told him what we needed. We had an area used for basketball and the pavement was in bad condition. He drew up a great quote and the board approved it. He started right away and the job looks great. Communication was easy and there was no pressure. He was flexible with what we needed, even after the original quote when we found another area that we had forgotten to put in the original quote. Now we have a great space for recreation at EastGate Condominiums thanks to their great work!
