Havelock Pavers & Concrete

I have been waiting to review this business hoping that they would respond to my repeated emails ,phone calls & texts. We were looking for a company to pour a 16x16 patio for us , being fairly new to the area I called one company and they gave me a quote over the phone based on what I requested, looking for a second quote I came across Havelock Pavers and Concrete , they are a Veteran owned local business , the owner came out and gave us an estimate which was considerably higher than the previous one we received, my husband and I decided to work with Mr.Carter & his company due to him being a Veteran owned business, they started work the next day in the worst of the July heat , Mr.Carter and his team finished our patio in 2 days . We were pleased with the way it came out and looked forward to getting it set up to use , we didn’t put anything on the patio for 3 weeks allowing for the concrete to be fully dry/ set. On September 5 I reached out to let Mr.Carter know that we had a crack in the concrete and they needed to come out to repair it , we had a signed contract with a 1 year warranty on the work. After many calls / texts they finally came out to verify that we indeed had a crack which had gotten worse than when I first called ,they told us they would be here a few days after they were here to get this done. They were a no call no show , I have been calling , emailing , texting and sending a form on their company website to no avail . I did not want to leave a negative review but felt I had no choice but to do so. We were not difficult people to work with and the job we had done was a basic plain concrete pad , nothing fancy. I will be contacting the court system to file a claim with small claims court as my last resort. Finally , if Mr.Carter does the right thing and makes good on his signed contract I will amend this review.
