This is my second time using Houck Asphalt and I’m pleased with their quality of work. My extensive driveway had many areas of wear which Houck repaired and sealed. The end result was better than previous companies performance in the past so I will recommend using Houck to anyone.

Our house sits well back from the street, so we have a very long driveway (see the attached picture). We therefore consider it an investment, and we have made it a priority to keep it in excellent condition. Eleven years ago, we had a complete driveway replacement, and we have had Houck sealcoat it at appropriate intervals since that time. Houck recently sealcoated it this year, and the results were excellent, as usual. Their work crew did a thorough job preparing the driveway before applying the sealcoating, including trimming all of the adjoining grass and flowers and blowing off all grass and other clippings so they could apply the sealcoating all the way to the edges. As shown on the attached picture, ours does not look like an 11-year-old driveway. Where needed, Houck's crew applied a rubberized sealant to cover minor cracks and prevent water from getting into them. After the process was complete, I noticed that a couple of cracks caused by a tree root growing under the driveway were not completely sealed, so I emailed Houck and asked if they could apply a second layer of sealant. They contacted me that day to schedule a time to come out, and Doug, the representative, was here when he said he would be, and he promptly resealed those cracks. Houck does not cut corners and takes its work very seriously. If you want to maintain your driveway properly, I recommend that you contact Houck.

Showed up the day they were expected and did an excellent job. Edged, cleared and applied a new coat in under an hour. It looks great, we will definitely use them again.

Houck sent me an email requesting I leave some feedback, so here it is. I decided to go with them due to there 4.8 out of 5 rating! We had some interior line work done in our warehouse and the end result was just 'ok'. I did 2 walk-throughs with the rep. and thought it was strange how few notes he took, and not a single photo to help detail the work to be done. So one of the outlines was painted incorrectly (and is now permanently on our floor!), one of the markings was forgotten entirely, one of the straight lines was curved/bowed, and the footprints got progressively more sloppy. I expected much higher quality for work done on smooth warehouse floors but was told that "epoxy is hard to work with". They did send the Painter back out to fix the issues. His touch-up work was all done with a paintbrush this time, and it doesn't look like the same epoxy process was used. Houck might be fantastic for large parking lot work, but more detailed warehouse floor work might be better handled by someone else. UPDATE: Much to the credit of Houck Asphalt, over the course of 3 more visits they were able to correct the issues and get our work up to the quality we had hoped for. Their willingness to work with us on getting this straightened out was very much appreciated. I think we both had some positive take-aways.
