JIF Paving

JIF installed my driveway about 18 months ago, and it started cracking within the first five months. I reached out more than a dozen times—photos, emails, calls—and they completely ignored me. When I finally threatened legal action, Chris (the owner) showed up, patched the cracks, and promised to come back if the issues returned. The cracks came back, and he vanished again. A reputable contractor inspected the driveway and said the whole thing needed to be torn out. He pointed to a bad batch of asphalt and poor installation, including missing gravel/base in several areas. JIF denied everything and claimed they only use top quality materials. Today, the driveway looks awful. Cracks stretch over 12 feet, and the surface is failing even though it’s barely a year and a half old! JIF still won’t answer my calls. My advice: I do not recommend JIF. Hire someone reputable. Chris was dishonest, and after doing more research, I found many people with similar experiences. Once they get paid, they disappear. I hope you have better luck than I did.

Chris and his crew are top-notch paving professionals with top-notch equipment. I got 4 quotes for a 2500 sf driveway rip and replacement, and I chose Jif Paving because Chris offered the best consultation and advice for our situation. When it came time for the install, they timed the weather perfectly, leaving 2+ days of clear skies for the curing process to set in Now that it has rained and I can see that the water drains off exactly like I wanted it to, I'm giving my highest endorsement to this long-time local business serving NW Indiana.

I gave Chris a call August 2025 for an estimate for my drive way for a complete tare of ashfault and new one put on. He came down the next day gave me a really good price, I told him job is yours, him and his crew came the following week and did such an amazing job. I waited 9 months to post this review just in case I started to notice any cracks or bits of ashfault falling apart but to my surprise nothing like that happened, I am so glad I put my trust in him and he didn't let me down, thanks again Chis for being punctual and doing such an amazing job.

Jif showed up right away to quote replacing our driveway. Their price was fair. They came and performed the work and did a fantastic job. Looks beautiful.

They came out removed my old driveway, and redid the driveway. Super happy with the work, and the crew. They were very polite and professional. Would recommend them to anyone in the NWI and Chicago land area. Very happy with the work, and the price! Chris and his crew are extremely detail oriented and great work! Thanks for the face-lift to the house!
