John Zarlengo Asphalt Paving

We recently had our driveway completely redone by John Zarlengo Asphalt Paving Company, and we couldn’t be happier with the results. I feel like I’m walking up to a completely different house 😊 Our project involved much more than simply laying new asphalt. They removed the old concrete and asphalt, corrected the grading, and carefully pitched the driveway away from our house to improve drainage. Water had always been a concern for us, so seeing the amount of time Paul spent explaining the pitch and walking us through the plan gave us a lot of confidence before the work even started. The finished driveway looks fantastic. The transitions around the garage and steps are clean, the edges are neat, and the entire driveway has a professional finish. You can tell they take pride in their work. I also want to recognize Luanne in the office. She was wonderful to work with throughout the process—friendly, responsive, and helpful whenever we had questions. Paul and his crew did an outstanding job. I cannot express my gratitude for this company enough. They went above and beyond in every detail of work they did. I had some expectations for my new driveway, but what was done so far exceeded my expectations! Every single employee is so very pleasant and conscious about how they work and the job they are doing I was blown away. Many family members working for the company and each and every one of them remembers that John started this company and they do not want anything wrong once they leave the site. Paul is so incredibly friendly and concerned about getting you exactly what you need. Prices are great too. The inspector commented at how good everything looked. Our driveway was falling apart and we knew it was because the base was uneven if there at all. Put it out to bid to 5 places. All came in at the same price, one even just google-earthed it, never even came out. So Paul comes out from Zarlengo gives it a look and grabs his pickaxe and went at the asphalt. Husband liked that. He took the time to discuss our specific issue. They weren't the cheapest but I tell you what. They removed the asphalt, removed the sub-par base and gave us at least a 6 inch base. This took nearly four days. Ed's crew was meticulous and NOT an easy job with the circle drive we have (see photos). Driveway already looked better than the original! Today the asphalt guys came, another great crew. Paul's crew worked hard all day and finished in 8 hours. Paul was always, every turn, checking the driveway pitch with a level, drainage as we specified. Start to finish. Meticulous. Family owned. Great communication from start to finish also. Zarlengo addressed all our concerns. Great job, can't recommend highly enough.

John and his crew did a great job of replacing our driveway. They were careful not to damage the lawn or the garage. They cleaned up after the work and by the way the Drive looks fantastic! The price was excellent and timing was great too.
