Johnny's Blacktop Sealing

Buyer beware! The pricing and end-product material estimation and delivery is totally contrary to Industry standards. When you are priced and sign a contract with Kenny for 3 inch thick asphalt, you're only getting 3 inches of loose asphalt out the back of the truck. Once it is rolled and compacted you only have 2.25 inches of asphalt. That is not how it is done in the asphalt industry. Depth of asphalt it's always referred to in its compacted state! I was being subjected to a bait and switch. I doubt that any of the other reviewers took the time to measure what was delivered to them. As it regards pricing, I was given a price in March for a total cost to do my driveway. When it came time to do it two months later, the price had gone up about 10%, all of a sudden, without notification. When asked, Kenny said his suppliers and trucking all raised their prices. I made a few calls out of state and there had been no industry-wide price increases. So I don't know what to believe there. Being in the construction industry myself, I understand that different market areas have different pricing, so I didn't even factor that in. I was just looking for Industry-wide price increases. I truly wanted to believe in him because he comes across as one of the nicest guys you've ever met. There we're just too many uncovered surprises, so I canceled at the last minute.

Kenny and the crew worked very hard for 2 days and finished my long drive, parking area in front of my garage and my entire front area and parking pad. It is beautiful! 😍

Kenny & his crew are 10/10. These guys rolled up, turned our disastrous dirt mess into a buttery smooth masterpiece, and now I slow down when pulling into my own house just to admire it. Pretty sure my driveway is now the nicest thing I own. Thanks guys!

Kenny and his crew did amazing work paving my long private driveway. I thought he was joking when he said they would be in and out in one day, but no, they started at 9 and wrapped up around 5pm! The quality of work is amazing, the drive is super smooth and they did a great job prepping the problem areas. So glad to not have to deal with gravel and potholes again. I’m looking forward to using him on my other properties!
