Joint Sealing Solutions / JSS Concrete and Asphalt

After years of disappointment when choosing the lowest bidder, I decided to roll the dice and choose a contractor based on past reviews and not price alone. Glad I chose Joint Sealing Solutions for this project. They won't be your cheapest bid, but they'll be your BEST. Blake stays involved in the entire process and oversees his men on GO-Day. He makes sure it's done right. They pay special attention to drainage, something very important for an asphalt or concrete parking lot. I couldn't be more pleased, and have no reservations giving a 5-star review to this family-owned business. Ciara is also a pleasure to work with and responded to my emails and phone calls quickly.

If you need subdivision road repair, these guys are your best bet! Our neighborhood took bids back from several concrete contractors for our badly damaged and crumbling roads back in 2021. Of the 6 we contacted, JSS was the ONLY contractor that came out and did a thorough walkthrough with our subdivision board members in charge of road repairs. We chose JSS to guarantee the quality of our roads, not to appease the self entitled Ken’s & Karen’s that every neighborhood has. We have a handful of our own, and like clockwork, they were ready to unjustifiably complain about prices, quality of work, road closures, and absolutely everything they could, all while not being willing to help or even paid their Subdivision dues, yet still think they have a say in how work gets done. So even if your quote from JSS doesn’t beat another contractors, we would highly suggest that you pay for the quality they provide, as opposed to the lowest price. You DON’T want to end up in our boat with the low quality repairs we had in the past because those are exactly the repairs JSS had to fix for us, and now they’re holding up well. THAT is the Peace of Mind you want to have when you need roadwork completed, and have to listen to a handful of ungrateful and entitled residents (who don’t even pay their dues) constantly complain about the progress. The other contractors that came out to give us bids all did a drive through, and just emailed us bids without meeting with us. We had concerns because of the substandard repairs in the past, and wanted to speak with the contractors in person about how the repairs would be conducted, and let them know what we expected. (Our past repairs were mostly fill, and 4” of concrete when our roads needed 6-7”). Not only did Blake with JSS come out to speak with us, but he was the only guy that went through the neighborhood with us to check out each individual damaged spot 1 by 1, helped us prioritize each of them by severity, then helped us keep the repairs

I highly recommend Joint Sealing Solutions!! From the first phone call made, this company show cased that they care about their customers. Ciara was the first person I spoke to and she was very kind and sweet. She gave me recommendations and things to consider about the concrete patio that we were wanting. She was the first to warn us of stamped patios being slick after she heard my 1 year old in the background. She passed my information to Blake, the owner of the company, and he was my main point of contact for the rest of the time. He was very easy to reach, always answering any questions I had, and giving me ideas and things to think about when it came to the design of the patio. I probably was a little on the annoying side with my constant questions but he never hesitated to help. Once the bid was done, and we signed the contract, they let us know they were showing up earlier than we thought (which we were hoping for). The whole crew was very professional and nice. Blake was there everyday and made sure everyone knew what the plan was (including either my husband or myself). My daughter loved watching them work and they were very sweet to her the whole time. The clean up was done well and our patio looks amazing. I can't recommend this company enough. The ease of communication and the knowledge and insight of all the employees was something you can't find with many other contractors. While they were not the cheapest bid we received, the value of communication and their ability to be on time and present when they say they're going to be there was worth more to us than the few thousand dollar difference for harder to reach and unreliable contractors. If you need any concrete or retaining wall work done this is definitely the company to go with!

This company was easy to work with. The asphalt they fixed for us was done well, and clean up afterwards. Blake was very communicative, and Ciara was as well. Highly recommend.

We were very impressed with the workmanship of Blake and his crew. They arrived on time and the job was completed in quick order. I would recommend Blake to everyone. and i will be using him to redo my back patio. before and after photos. amazing job guys.
