Joseph’s Chip Seal Beware!! Scam contractor! Do not use! Absolutely the worst contractor of any I have ever used. Nice and responsive until the job is done and he has your money then apologies, promises and finally silence. You’re left with nothing but a lighter bank account and situation worse than when you started. Joseph did 6000 sq. feet of chip seal over my asphalt drive on 3/24/2026. The next day the crushed rock could be blown off with a battery powered leaf blower! Rocks everywhere and absolutely no adherence to the extremely thin tar coating beneath. Turned an asphalt drive into a loose gravel road impossible to maintain and completely the opposite of what was agreed upon. Vegetation was regrowing through the surface within days. Responded to phone calls for a week and came back out a few days after job was complete. Apologized for the situation, blamed a bad batch of asphalt polymer coating (tar) and promised speedy resolution. Two weeks later Joseph is a ghost. Not answering phone calls or returning messages. As of this writing no further contact has been made and no resolution. Complete waste of money! All that is left is huge mess of loose rock everywhere to deal with!

I contacted with this company in Springtown Texas. I explained exactly what i wanted. I have him a hand drawn n blueprint. I talked with him about what, exactly, I expected. They did not do what was contacted. I let him know that this was NOT what we agreed to. I let him know that I WAS NOT HAPPY. Our contract specified two (2) coats of chip seal. He did one. I made sure to explain to him that I wanted the exact same surface that parker county does. One coat of seal topped by a coat of chip, then compact, then another coat of seal and then, another coat of chip, then compact. Without letting me know, he decided that he would just lay down what he called computer controlled double seal and then a double layer of chip. Now our chips are all loose. They get caught up in tires, shoes and get distributed everywhere, including our house. The bid he gave me included a rather large drive up to a cement pad so, road base would be added as needed. While he did add some road base, it was not enough. Now the water collects deep in front of the cement pad. The drive up to the cement pad was far smaller than what he bid, I ended up making the cement pad larger, which made his part far smaller. When he handed me the invoice it was way more than original for far less work! Didn't matter to him. I let him know that I was quite displeased and explained why. He didn't care. He offered a couple hundred dollars off the invoice. I told him that he was charging more than what we agreed, he did not fulfill our contract and that he did less work than what was originally bid on. He didn't care. I paid him what he asked. I wanted him off my property. Beware!!! The company has an F rating with the BBB. There is a reason for that.

My husband and I had our driveway chip sealed in February 2024. Our contract came with a 2 year warranty and Joseph assured us they would come back and fix errors or any problems. There were some corners that didnt get covered at all, and when Joseph was shown he was very apologetic and said he would come back the next week and fix it. However, he never showed up. And then we attempted to call him and text him several times with no response. Both my husband and I attempted to contact for several months. I felt a responsibility to write a review to warn potential customers to be present for the work to make sure its being done correctly and to understand that the company does not intend on honoring any warranty. We are very disappointed and considering going to small claims court as a next course of action.

We are happy with the work they did for us. There was a couple areas that needed a little bit of attention after the job was done but after discussing our concerns with them, they fixed it the very next day, they also give their work a warranty for cracks, pot holes, bare patches, etc. which is really nice! We will call them for future services! Photos attached are final result vs. prior service.

I had Joseph’s redo my driveway, it was old and cracked needed a lot of work it kind of got away from me as I live alone and it kind of got away from me living alone like I do anyway I called them and made an appointment to com out and inspect my driveway. Ray stopped by and measured it and gave me a detailed estimate explaining that it needed two course’s, Two layers compacted between the layers for a hard surface, that way all the cracks are completely filled in. They came out with there crew and completed the work in one day even though my driveway is pretty big, they cleaned up after and did a great job! I’m so happy with my ‘new’ driveway I have recommended them to my neighbors and my family. I would use them in the future. Thanks Ray I love the work!
