We did not purchase from Julius C Howe Asphalt and Sealing, they purchased some of our catch basins, but, they were a pleasure to work with from beginning to end. We love having customers like them!

We had a sizable driveway with an apron installed in June of 2024. I was very pleased with every aspect of my experience with Julius Howe and his team. They were professional from beginning to end. There were two crews; one to remove the existing driveway and one to install the new one. Both were a pleasure to deal with. Everyone knew their job and performed it well. Each man was hard-working, courteous and friendly, and the lead man on each crew took time to answer my questions completely and thoroughly. The end result looks great, and I am expecting many years of life from my new driveway. Highly recommended. September 2025 update. I just had Julius Howell come out and topcoat my driveway. I was very pleased with this service as well. The crew was once again excellent: hard-working, friendly, courteous and did a superior job. First time homeowner with a need for seal coat to our driveway and came across this local company. Very friendly and easy to set up and driveway looks great. Price was also reasonable. However, they were a little messy in the application process, getting it on the side of the house. I contacted the office for suggestions on ways to remove this or products to use, as we don’t have the paint to just paint over. The woman said she would have someone come over at some point after a job to clean it up and to go ahead and pay in the meantime….. that was over a month ago and no one has come. Also, just an fyi you can’t pay with credit card, as we were given the option of cash or check, so just keep in mind.

I would highly recommend this company for your asphalt needs. The crew were very professional, did an excellent job with putting down the gravel before, and the asphalt. They were very punctual and arrived exactly when they said they would. The crew cleaned up the area and made sure everything was the way it was when they came. We are very pleased with the job they did.

Inconsistent paving thickness, wavy edges and does not honor their warranty. *SEE UPDATE AT THE BOTTOM. We had a 19 year old gravel driveway that we wished to have paved. We received a quote from Julius Howe For a 3" thick asphalt driveway to be installed with them also adding a compacted gravel base. After the paving was completed, there were a few areas where the asphalt appeared to be quite thin. Julius assured me it was fine and would not be an issue. This was paved in the beginning of Fall 2021 and by early to mid Summer 2022 (well within 1 year warranty period) the driveway began developing substantial cracks throughout the entire driveway. When I attempted to reach out to them for warranty repair work, my emails were disregarded and never answered. Finally got an email back from Julius stating he would come take a look at things. Two days later I received an email saying the damage was not under warranty because it does not cover EXTREME weather conditions because the extreme drought we had Summer of 2022. WE DID NOT HAVE ANYTHING NEAR A DROUGHT IN 2022. Also included in the email was a nearly $4,000.00 estimate to repair the cracks and seal the driveway. We have already paid over $22,000 for the initial job. We would like it to be properly fixed or refunded the money to have someone else fix it properly. When we explained our part they have ignored us completely since. *******UPDATE****** Since the review and BBB filing, THEY RETURNED AND REPAIRED/SEALED THE CRACKS. Much appreciated!
