Karvo construction is a company that has ZERO accountability! They’ve been working on the 490 bridge for two years and their neglectful maintenance of the open lanes caused damage to my vehicle. My claim was denied by Beth.

Absolute worst construction company there is. They are doing a project in the city of Chardon that is taking forever and back in June they had high raised castings all over the place with no cones or indicators that they were there. I was unable to avoid one on my commute and it sliced the sidewall of one tire damaging my rim to the point it would not hold air and caused a bubble in the sidewall of another tire. I called the city to get information on the construction company and they told me that they had multiple phone calls for the same sort of incident happening to other people. When I finally got a hold of someone at karvo, they immediately told me they were not going to do anything to compensate the damages. I decided to take them to small claims court, which is out of my norm I would typically let something like this go; but since I was aware of multiple people I personally know having the same issue and multiple people who had called the city to complain as well I decided to hold this company accountable. This got me nowhere and the lawyer and project manager who showed up proceeded to lie during the hearing stating that they had no other complaints throughout the project aside from mine. I would not recommend hiring unless you want everyone in your community to end up with damage to your cars, or if you want the project to drag out for months on end and impede traffic patterns.

They tore up the road I travel daily to work and due to them taking forever to re-pave the road and they tore it up so good that they left a crater in the middle of the road and go figure I hit it and cracked my rim. Got that rim fixed and a used tire put on it. And then the next week I hit one of the castings/sewer grate and cracked the other rim. Never in my 15 years of driving have I had to use a spare tire. They refuse to take responsibility for this. There was clear damage to both of my rims in 2 different spots and blown out tires. But they still refuse to pay for damages to my rims/tires.. What a shame.. I’m not giving up I’m going to get a hold of someone higher up then those I spoke with.. It took 3 weeks of calling and calling to get in touch with the right person. And they refuse to do anything to help fix what they did to my car..I WILL get my money and fix what they did to my car. One way or another. End of discussion

Karvo is doing a project near my house. They were pouring and instructed us to go through. My tires are covered with tar. I spoke to the DOT Manager who told me to file a claim after seeing my tires. I spoke to a Karvo representative who stated she denied the claim after speaking to the crew. I provided several pictures of my new car and should not be responsible for the damages. The project was extended a year, so I'll deal with more of there terrible work practices.

Wanted to argue with me when I was trying to get back into my drive. Flagged told me there was no way I was getting in. I had to drive through my neighbors yard to get to out. Missed out on pay because I had to wait on them to let me out. Got an attitude with my girlfriend when she asked them if they were going to put a plate down in front so we’d have access to leave. Then I get home from work and they’ve got their equipment in front of my house close to blocking my drive!
