If you guys are doing road work on one on the back roads, you need to have someone directing traffic. It’s dangerous.

I was driving down Davis creek rd today trying to go slow but still stirring up dust. One of the guys flipped me off over this. Doesn’t matter who’s in the wrong that’s unacceptable behavior

The work they did on Hwy 28 from Walhalla to Mountain Rest is awful, worse now than before the repairs. Our gas tax increase for road maintenance is wasted using King Asphalt. I ask the state of SC to research before giving them a contract in the future. You don't need to go to Carowinds for a Rollar Coaster ride. Just drive Hwy 28. The work they did is absolutely awful.

King Asphalt was working on a road in SC and they had me stop for a few minutes. Then they let me through. As I drove through I heard stuff splashing all over my truck. I thought it was just mud so at first didn’t worry. A few days later I realized it was cement or something. It would not come off. They covered the almost $13K cost to repair my truck. HOWEVER… I told them it was supposed to take 30 days to repair so they paid me for a rental car for 30 days. Well it took SIX weeks to repair my truck from their huge mistake. I even asked for in writing that they would cover any additional cost. Should there be more. It was only about $350 extra for the rental car and they are refusing to pay it. I am flabbergasted at the fact that their crew would screw up so bad and put me through such a huge headache, and then refused to pay the additional cost for a rental vehicle because of their screwup. Unbelievable. I certainly wouldn’t do business with a company like that. they are obviously missing a moral compass. This whole ordeal was a major pain in my butt and took a lot of hours of phone calls and getting estimates and emails and six weeks without my truck. I didn’t even get an apology. The least they could do is pay the difference. Bad business practices.

This company does work for SCDOT. While repaving a road they were notified not to park on side of road where water lines and meters were at. Even after being told and showed they still ran over water line and then would not fix. A week later they showed back up and we’re on top of water lines again and this time there was orange ribbon and a SCDOT come that was moved so they could park and turn around here.
