Lakes Area Asphalt Services LLC

We had Lakes area Asphalt give us an estimate for a new driveway on May 8th and when we asked the timeline on it being installed we were told in writing a month to 5 weeks out, we needed to coordinate having black dirt, irrigation and Hydroseeding our back half of our property so dump trucks weren’t driving on the new driveway. When we paid the deposit on May 16th we again asked both Jeff and Cassey the timeline again and were told a month, so we hurried to get all the needed yard work done before the driveway install, our yard is acreage. Jeff also said that he was planning to get the prep work and class five done in the next two weeks so we could drive on it to pack it done. Fast forward we heard nothing for 2 weeks, when we inquired we either got no response or excuses. as it got to week 3 we continued to text and email with no return email from Cassey and no response from Jeff for days with more excuses. Jeff texted my husband on June 17th stating they would be out the following day to do the prep work, they didn’t show or contact us. When my husband contacted Jeff again we got more excuses. We continued to reach out the week of June 22nd received one last text from Jeff stating will let you know where you are later today, never received a call or text the rest of the week. We sent an email Sunday June 29th wanting to cancel our install and get our deposit back, due to the lack of professionalism and non commitment on their part to do the job they had promised, we received an email the next day stating “they were sorry we felt this way”, and refusing to give our deposit back. So at this point we would have to take them to conciliation court to try to recover our $2,500 deposit. If you choose to go with this company they will make promises they don’t keep and their communication is nonexistent. Side note I did check with the better business bureau and they have had complaints.

What a great company to work with! They clearly know what they are doing and communicate very well. The weather was not working in our favor and caused a few delays, but I was more interested in it being done right, rather than just fast. Once the weather cleared up, they were all over it and knocked it out in a day. The driveway looks great and I would recommend them to anyone.

Lakes Area Asphalt was pretty awesome to work with. After getting multiple quotes that were at times more expensive than concrete and honestly just out of this world way too expensive than what you’d believe asphalt to ever be, Jeff came back with the very first reasonable offer. Finally someone wasn’t trying to rake me over the coals. Jeff and Cassey were great to work with, the only issue was with communication. They’re working all day everyday so it’s hard to get ahold of them all the time. I was very pleased to see that the edges had gotten stamped, it looks super clean. I would definitely recommend Lakes Area to other folks.

Lakes Area Asphalt gets 5 stars from me! The work they completed for me was a 700 sqft asphalt extension from our existing driveway. We also had our driveway sealed. Jeff and Cassey are very honest and knowledgeable. The pricing was very reasonable and the quality of work was top notch. Working with Jeff and Cassey was great. The communication was awesome as well. I will definitely use this company in the future!! Thank you Jeff and Cassey!!!

Jeff, Cassey, and crew at Lakes Area Asphalt were terrific to deal with and did an outstanding job installing my asphalt driveway this past week. Jeff graded the entire area in a way to solve an annoying drainage problem putting down a good bed of class 5, then overrlaying the asphalt. His crew was friendly, worked hard in hot temps, and was meticulous in applying finishing details. Jeff was back the next morning to check things over and came back again in a couple of days with crew to fix a couple of minor problems. Overall, I'm very satisfied with the whole deal and would whole heartedly recommend Lakes Area Asphalt. Unfortunately, I didn't around to taking pictures before the snowstorm of elm seeds hit.
