Guys stopped and gave me a quote. Showed up next day and had the driveway done and looks great. Good price, great company. Edit-was rolled in October. Found a thin spot of less than 1” of material and it’s been torn up. Contacted the owner and no response. Will have to try and fix myself. Downgrading to 1 star. Several attempts to contact owner with no response. Shouldn’t have to fix something like this after pay 6000$ for a driveway. Shame on you. About 3’x3’ I had to redo with aquaphalt because it was poured and rolled thin to less than 1/2” in multiple spots. Peels right up with no effort. Poor workmanship on this companies behalf.

Got a free estimate and was overwhelmed how easy and simple scheduling and pricing was they did a very professional job and answered any and all questions I had about my driveway, they were knowledgeable on all aspects of asphalt. Highly recommend

I hired Lovell Asphalt Construction to pave our previously stone driveway. Upon completion, I noticed a small puddle at the seam where our existing concrete by the garage met the new asphalt driveway. I raised this concern with the owner’s son and he said that they’ve been spraying the driveway with a lot of water during construction and implied that it was normal. We had some rain overnight and the small puddle grew to a 15 ft wide and 1” deep pool of standing water. We did not have any pooling in our driveway before they touched it. It was at this time that I noticed several other deficiencies in the construction of the driveway: 1) The driveway was graded such that it was higher on the sides and lower in the middle - the opposite of what you see on public roads - which causes any runoff to go down the middle of the driveway instead of off to the side away from the house. 2) The asphalt was noticeably higher than the concrete where it met the pad and sloped towards it instead of level with it and sloping away. In this area, rain hits the driveway, flows TOWARD the concrete pad and stands there stagnant, eventually seeping into the seam. Inevitably this will lead to costly damage to the driveway as well as the concrete pad. 3) Signs of poor compaction during the preparation of the sub-base such as noticeable medium to large dips in the driveway and roller marks Unfortunately, I would come to learn that the nightmare had just begun. I raised my concern that poor/improper grading, leveling, and compacting were leading to drainage issues. Bob was clearly very irritated (his word) at my implication that something was not done properly. He refused to take any responsibility for any wrongdoing or oversight, but said he would bring his crew out with an infrared heater to try to fix the drainage issue by heating the asphalt and rolling it out to be level with the concrete. Great company! Responsive, efficient, friendly and fair with their pricing. I contacted Lovell Asphalt to replace our old asphalt driveway and install new. We also wanted to add a section on next to the garage. He came out immediately to quote the job and showed up the next day with his crew. The driveway looks fantastic as well as the section he added, in fact it looked so great that we asked him to quote another project, which turned out just as nice as our driveway. Bob Lovell of Lovell Asphalt was responsive and quick with getting my job done. He fit me in his already busy schedule with two weeks. His pricing was very reasonable and I am pleased with the outcome. He came back to fix/level an area where I noticed a puddle formed after a rain and I was concerned would create a possible area of ice in winter. He came back and fixed this right away.
