Peninsula Paving

We got a quote from Dan . He said it’d be 11-12k for 900sq ft & after weeks of back & forth with Paperwork & such ( for 198 less square feet it went up by 50% ) Right when we’re ready to start today they want another 6k 20k for 700 sq ft. Hell I can get concrete for 15k fir the original 900 sq ft so why would we pay almost double for something that crumbles away eventually. Oh & it’ll need maintenance. 50% more than quoted weeks before…. Run , not walk Run & Call a concrete contractor & if your neighborhood doesn’t allow concrete then I’d recommend moving!!!! I’m sure glad my wife looked it was actually under 15 thousand to do concrete….

I called and spoke to Dan to request a quote on a possible Saturday so I do not have to use a vacation day just to get a quote since we are not full time in the area. Dan said he would call me right back after talking to his boss amd never did. I called the next day and was advised he was out on the road and they would have him call me back. That was two days ago and no call back. I just got off the phone with a very nice woman who I actually spoke to the other day when he was on the road . I told her it seems like they dont want my work and she told me it probably has something to do with the Saturday quote and that they only work M-F. I expressed the fact that I feel I at least deserve a call back as a common courtesy. She was apologetic and I told her its not her fault but shame on Dan. At this point I am not interested in a company that does not communicate. I would not want to take a chance with a bad experience if I actually hired them. Response to the owner: Stop making excuses for your lack of comunication. 1. I called and requested a Saturday quote with Dan. He said he will ask and get right back to me. THIS NEVER HAPPEND! 2. I called the next day and a woman said he was on the road and will have him call me back. THIS NEVER HAPPEND! 3. I then called again the following day and talked to the same woman and she said Dan not calling back had to do with the Saturday meeting. I expressed that he owed me the common courtesy of a call back like he promised. She agreed and I then told her I was no longer interested in an estimate from your company. This is all I have to base your company by and is my reason for one star. if good reviews are important to you then I suggest you start with returning calls. Shame on you for not even giving me an apology in your response! Thank you for solidifying my decision to no longer seek your services.
