Redmon Asphalt Inc

On Jun 9th, 2022, I contacted Mr. Redmon to have a driveway installed. On Jun 13, Mr. Redmon came out for a visit to give an estimate. I specifically asked Mr. Redmon if I would need to be concerned about letting my 2018 Tundra sit in one spot for up to a month at a time on the asphalt. He stated that the asphalt would be more than thick enough to support the truck. Mr. Redman also stated that they would come out the next year to fix edges that had separated and spots that grass had grown through. Sounded like a great final product so I contracted for him to install the driveway from the road to the carport with a turnoff to a detached garage. The install was completed with only minor delays but they did not complete the turnoff to the detached garage. It appeared to be a good start with the exception of the turnoff so I paid Mr Redmon. I told him that since his people had left and the equipment had already been removed, it would be OK for him to install the turn off when he returned the following year. This would end up being an obviously dumb idea on my part but until this time, I had no reason to question Mr. Redman’s integrity. Soon after install, I started to get concerned that, although my truck had not been parked on the asphalt yet, I was getting a lot of depressions (see pic 1) in the asphalt caused by people parking small SUVs and sedans on it for short periods. It was also getting depressed grooves where the primary car was traveling to and from the carport. Sept 12, 2023, I contacted Mr Redman to determine when he would return to correct the edges and put in the turnoff. He said that he would take care of it in October. Oct 12, 2023, I asked for an update and his response was that he would get to it “soon”. Mar 4, 2024, Still no word so I reached out via text to ask how much he would charge to seal the driveway. I was going to have my driveway paved. Mr. Redmon came out and gave us a quote, I said I would like him to do our driveway. He came out and sprayed the grass that he wanted dead. I haven’t heard from him since and actually he never contacted me after he gave the quote, it was always me calling. Now he doesn’t even have voicemail. Good luck if you hire him
