From my very first visit nearly 8 months ago, I was welcomed so warmly. It wasn't just friendly smiles or quick hellos but people genuinely made me feel like I belonged. RCC is a place where you're reminded that we all belong to God and that sense of love and acceptance was felt from the moment I walked in. Worship here is something special, the music is beautiful! The people leading worship aren't performing, they're worshipping. You can feel that & it makes it easier to open your heart and be present with God. Pastor Brian doesn't just preach a message and move on. He teaches straight from the Bible with so much depth & intention. Scripture has come alive in a way that has completely changed how I study and understand God's Word. Attending this church has changed my life! My faith is deeper, my understanding of God's Word is clearer and my relationships with others have been shaped by what I'm learning here. I am so grateful that God led me to this church and I HIGHLY recommend Redmond Christian Church to anyone seeking a Christ-centered, welcoming and loving community of believers!

I recently attended a sermon here and while everyone was very kind, the experience left me unsettled. The worship music was catchy and the lyrics themselves were lovely, but the overall atmosphere felt more like a concert than worship directed toward God. It seemed crafted to accommodate the emotions of the moment rather than to center hearts on the Lord Himself. That same feeling continued into the sermon, which sadly was not biblically grounded. After going home and studying the passage for myself (which I'm very glad I did this and encourage everyone to do this as to test the spirit of their church and leaders -1 John 4:1, 1 Corinthian 14:29, Act 17:11 ), it became clear that much of the sermon was shaped by eisegesis, the practice of reading ideas into the text, rather than drawing meaning from Scripture itself. During this particular sermon, the pastor claimed that Lot represents spiritual rebellion and disloyalty to God, yet Scripture never presents him that way. The only inspired commentary we have on Lot appears in Second Peter chapter two verses seven and eight, where he is called righteous three times. The sermon also connected Lot’s strife with Abram to Israel’s rebellion at Meribah, but the Hebrew word in Genesis chapter thirteen verse seven is rib, which simply means an ordinary quarrel. The word for Israel’s rebellion, merivah, does not appear in this passage. Building a typology on a word that is not even present is an example of overreach. Genesis also shows that the conflict was between the herdsmen, not between Abram and Lot. Abram even says, “Let there be no strife between you and me,” which shows he was preventing conflict because they were family, not correcting hostility that already existed. The pastor also taught that Lot was ungrateful and entitled, but Scripture never attributes those motives to him. Lot’s error was choosing with his eyes and settling near Sodom, which reveals a lack of discernment, not rebellion or hostility towards Go

The pastor is an excellent teacher and insightful and extremely knowledgeable in Hebrew words and their meanings, which helps to understand the Bible. He has an honest approach in explaining details. People there are friendly and welcoming.
