I've hesitated addressing this, but I'm going to give my honest review. We had a driveway done in 2021. Communication is a little inconsistent, but they held to schedule. Unfortunately, I was not able to be home at the time, but my wife was. She attempted to make comment that it didn't appear to be leveled out or thick enough in some spots. The crew told her it would be fine and to let it settle. Because I came home and night, I didn't notice the entrance initially. The crew completely didn't finish one side/wing. I reached out to Mr. Smith about that and other things we were noticing in the first 48 hours. He initially said that they didn't do the other wing of the driveway because that isn't the direction we would turn out of the drive. First of all, we aren't on a 1 way street. There was zero justification to assume what direction we do or should turn out of our drive. Secondly, we were noticing that at the peek of the drive, it really was clearly not very thick. Mr. Smith said they would come out and finish the wing and take a look at the peek as well as other scrape/groove marks left in a few weeks in order to reduce costs of travel and workers. That was fine by me because he appeared to be genuine. Two months later, I called again to see what the status was as I had not heard anything back. Mr Smith confessed he had forgotten and would make sure they were out here to finish and address evaluate the issues. 3 months later, still no follow up nor completion. I attempted again to get it finished but never heard back from them. A year and a half later, no responses, it is clear that the peek of the driveway was at best half an inch or asphalt, we have several lowspots and bumps, and I am still missing the end of my driveway entrance. Others might have had a good experience, but either the crew he had at the time couldn't handle the task or because he wasn't on site, they just phoned in the work. Mr. Smith was a great source of joy for us as he paved our gravel road that we have begrudgingly used for a while now. Contacting Mr. Smith was mostly easy. There were a few times I called that required me to leave a voicemail and he promptly returned each of those in a reasonable time as well as outside of regular hours. His price was the best out of any of the estimates we received in our area and the quality of him and his team’s work was that of one priced 2 to 3 times as much. We are ecstatic to have our new driveway and absolutely plan on utilizing Mr. Smith’s expertise in paving again in the future!

Our private road had potholes and was in bad condition. Smith Paving was hired to resurface our road with “tar & chip”. We were told this would be a better solution than having to repave every few years and would last longer. However after the work was done - the “tar & chip” only lasted a few months and our road is in worse condition than it was before. Mr. Smith has been contacted multiple times by the residents on our road and won’t come back and fix it. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY
