Def zero if possible. Cambridge Traffic Department has to be one of the most frustrating and inefficient government agencies I’ve ever dealt with. Back in April, I parked my car, stepped inside, and paid for parking on my phone immediately. My payment was processed at 2:17 PM. When I returned to my car, I found that a ticket had been issued at 2:16 PM — literally one minute before my payment went through. I filed an appeal, and it took OVER TWO MONTHS to receive a response. Two months just to review a simple parking ticket? I’m sure the explanation will be that they receive a high volume of appeals. Given how tickets are issued, I can’t say I’m surprised. Then the appeal was denied. The letter stated that I had 10 days from the date on the notice to either pay the fine or request a hearing. The letter itself was dated June 4. I check my mail regularly, and by the time I actually received the letter, it was already passed the deadline. And here’s the best part: requesting a hearing requires MAILING A FORM BACK. Seriously? Are we living in the pre-internet era? You can pay the ticket online instantly, but if you want to challenge it, your only option is postal mail. Who knows how long that takes? And if the mail is delayed, am I supposed to risk additional penalties? The whole process feels like a series of traps designed to make people give up and pay. After looking online, I realized I’m far from the only person who has had this experience. At this point, keep the $40. Clearly that’s more important than having a fair, efficient, and transparent process. Congratulations on finding new ways to waste taxpayer money while making it harder for residents to be heard.

Would give this place zero stars if I could. So extremely rude and unhelpful, interrupted me multiple times and made me feel stupid for asking a question. Specifically talked to the woman handling parking tickets.

A big thank you to Mary! She was personable and fast with helping me get a temporary parking permit. She also walked me through what documents I’ll need for a residential permit. My whole trip was less than 15 minutes

Whoever I spoke with she was very rude to me as I asked for a payment plan on tickets that were wrongly admitted to my vehicle when I paid on the app back when I was working in Cambridge. I was never notified of my balance nor did I receive any information regarding it. She was very unprofessional as well and laughing at the fact that I had a lot of tickets in which I was not aware of. Cambridge is bot a good town in regards to parking they make it nearly impossible to work with. Be better Cambridge parking….be better

Usually dont like coming here every year (3stars) but just want to say the gentleman working around 1030am on 2/4/26, was kind, patient, jovial, warm, softspoken and uncharacteristic of this place. He alone would bring this place up to 10stars. Deserves raise.
