The Sunmerill team did an excellent job widening and resurfacing our driveway and painting basketball court lines. They showed up on time, got the work done efficiently, and were very easy to communicate with. Highly recommend.

If I could give Jim ten stars, I would. He and his team went above and beyond my expectations. I hired them to install a retaining wall and pour new asphalt on my property, and I was incredibly impressed. They showed up exactly when they said they would and were available every day to walk through progress and answer my questions. They also cleaned up thoroughly at the end of each day, sweeping and even rinsing down the property. That level of care really stood out to me and even impressed my neighbors. Several of them stopped by to compliment the work and ask for Jim’s contact information. I had four different households request his number and was happy to pass it along! I’m looking forward to having Jim back for future projects. We greatly appreciate everything him and his team have done for us.

Very professional contractor. Workmanship is top notch which owner was there to oversee and help prepare and install for pour. Everything was outlined in proposal and delivered from start to finish. Would be glad to refer to anyone in need of a quality job. Price was very fair for the quality product installed. Showed up for estimate when he said, showed up to prepare sidewalk and placed and finished when he said he would. I was impressed with communication throughout. Thanks Jim and crew.

Summerill definitely earned a 5 star review. They did an excellent job and provided top notch service from the initial call through the end of the project. The communication was fantastic and they went out of their way to ensure all questions were answered in detail. They repaved a section of our driveway and replaced a large portion of it with a cement ribbon drive, added a cement slab and they laid grass seed. We told them we planned to install temporary fencing to keep our dogs out of the seeded area and they even took care of that for us. The job was done exactly as planned and the workmanship is beyond what I had expected. They finished up less than a week ago and we're already planning to use them for another project. They're really excellent.

I found Summerill Asphalt and Concrete through a Google search. I was looking for a local contractor to create a new driveway and update the walkways for my home. Frank was my main contact, and he did a great job explaining every detail to me about the project and what the different options were to create the driveway. He explained how the different layers were going to be applied and went through the whole process. He even arranged for all the permitting. I also tried Sam the Concrete Man. It was a very quick call, little consulting, seemed more interested in creating the quote than providing the service. I did not feel confident after that sales call. Additionally, I would have to arrange for all of the permitting. If you want a cheap job done quickly and probably average quality, go with Sam the Concrete man. If you want a dedicated crew with a family-owned business and years of working in the area, go with Summerville Asphalt and Paving. Frank did a good job staying in touch, especially as the project got close to the starting date. It did not start on time, but the weather was not cooperative at that time of the year. The crew of 5 showed up on time on the day promised. Frank, Jim (his brother), Jermaine, Marquis and Marvin. The same crew stayed with the project the whole time, which took 7 days. Why this company get 5 stars: • The quality of the work, from the set up through the finish is impeccable • The attention and care they took to the property was awesome – moving a bush to be transplanted by us, respecting the plants in the garden and laying new grass seed.
