After I moved into my house, I had the asphalt driveway replaced. I was a little hesitant to go with The Asphalt Company, but they assured me they did a good job with concrete as well. They were not great with communication, and I was not in a hurry. I got a quote in April 2015, and they did the work in April 2016. After they finished pouring the concrete, they came and made grooves in the concrete to help with the change in weather. Out of curiosity, I measured the depth of the grooves they made, and a lot of them were only 3/8 of an inch deep. I contacted the sales rep. It took a long time for them to come back, and it ended up being my sales rep. He came out with a handheld rotary saw and recut the grooves. I didn’t check all of them, but they seemed to be at a better depth. I contacted them a couple of months later letting them know there were some cracks in the cement. They told me that happens a lot. They did both my driveway and my sidewalk. It was pretty disappointing seeing so many cracks after such a short period of time. This year my neighbors replaced their asphalt driveway with concrete. They use someone else. They were told that there should be a sealant put on the driveway. My neighbor ended up doing it himself, but I had no idea there was supposed to be a sealant. In the meantime, I have chunks of concrete that have come out of my driveway as well as multiple cracks. It has been 11 years since my driveway has been installed. I know that there is normal wear and tear with everything, but I feel as though they missed putting the sealant on which might have prevented at least some of the cracks from occurring so soon. The reason I am writing a review now is that I just found out about the sealant. Whichever company you choose, make sure to speak to them about sealing the concrete.

We had our 100-foot residential driveway replaced by The Asphalt Company, Inc., and we couldn't be happier with the process, price, and results. To begin the process, we asked three different contractors to bid on our job. The Asphalt Company, Inc. had the lowest bid and seemed to have the best reviews. After we accepted their bid, they were very accommodating regarding our request for a short lead time to start the project. Phil bid on the job on Thursday, and Jim and the crew were out the following Tuesday morning. They had the old driveway out and prepped by 10 a.m. that morning! A week later (today), they placed the new asphalt and finished it in the afternoon. The new asphalt looks professional and is very high quality, with a smooth, flat surface with no visible low spots or defects. Overall, Jim and the crew were exceptional. The process was simple, Jim's communication was excellent, and they accommodated our requested short timeline. The work was top-notch and professional. Thank you. Highly recommended and one of the best experiences working with a contractor. Bravo.
