Many things that went array. Didn't get whole driveway done. Then when asked why, because I wasn't home when they did (n't) do it all, I was told my wife said she didn't want the turn around area done. BS. I even asked before they did it, if they could get some of the material leftover from landscaping moved. "oh yeah, no problem, we have a skidloader" They came back to do it for an add'l cost:(- Strike 1. When I came home after it was "complete" now, oil and asphalt all over my concrete. Strike2. Then received 3 calls in a row that I could not answer. But vm's left wanting to get balance due!. I called back and said that there is oil and asphalt all over my concrete. Next day a crude attempt was made to remove the stains and failed. Was offered a discount to clean it myself. I accepted just to get this clown out! BUYER BEWARE. Not even sure where this outfit is from this week. Look up Teds construction and Toms construction and come to your own conclusion. Family members padding the reviews! Losers.

This company was insafisent, irresponsible, untruthful, late all time, poor quality, poor labors, lack of or poor communications, poor rework even did worse than original poor job, I redid their rework to at least make it where water runs off, my drive is at a angle but for some reason the water puddles up bad in 6 to 10 big spots. They did a totally poor job, then they ran out of materials so they skimmed and cratched to almost complete but the sales person said to me. They would come back after a couple weeks or so after it settles in and fix. It took that rest of that year, then next year I finally got someone to listen, understand, and put in their schedule for next time around. That didn't work, it took almost to the end of that work year to come out and fix. All they did was use a partner saw and cut across top of drive so it would work better for drainage. There is a lot more but I think you get the drift of this all bad job. Thru the years 2019 to now 2023 I have kept after and hold of them. They have lied to me, monitored my phone call, past me off to someone else, blocked me, and even changed their phone number. The last 2 years I had a aynurisumn, real bad accident, emotional and family issues, COVID deaths to deal with. With that being said, I finally found paperwork in order to contact them. Because the tared driveway of mine that they did is cracked all over the place, tar has worn off a lot, chipping off and away. And with that the driveway they did not finish completely and seal coated and left to the eliminates of mn weather. This has mostly happened because they never have seal coated it like they said they would do. I have tried to contact them again and again with no luck. Their one phone # must be blocked, gives me a different person company that has gotten many calls like min, the other phone # give a recording of , the mail box is full so a person can not even leave a msg. So I have had the almost totaled driveway fixed and resealed myself b

YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR…. It looks like they attempted to do a good job however lines are still in driveway, asphalt was not compacted, roller was stopped on hot asphalt leaving huge divots. The crew was extremely nice, but clearly the owners of this company are not training them properly. Footprints were also left at end of driveway. We were told they would come back out in 2 weeks to fix and we have yet to see them a month later.

From the start of using this company, I was happy with their service. They arrived on time for my estimate, and they were very friendly and knowledgeable. I interviewed a bunch of different companies for the job, but felt most confident in Tom's Construction. They were definitely the best company for the job. They did a full driveway installation for us and the work was just stunning. Their team was completely professional every step of the way. I will certainly work with them again. I have already started recommending them to others and will continue to do so.

Due to their lack of professionalism and unethical business standards, I do not recommend Tom's Construction & Paving / TCP Asphalt & Paving. Do not hire them. John reviewed my driveway with me prior to commencing work. He expressed concerns about our driveway that matched the concerns my husband and I had with our driveway. He explained the plan to fix the driveway, and my husband (via phone) & I (in-person) were onboard with the approach. My husband and I both work in construction so have experience in asphalt installation and proper overlayment procedures. Minutes later the work began, completely disregarding the plan John suggested to me minutes before. I tried to call John, who conveniently didn't answer. I eventually saw his car at the end of my driveway, so I went to inquire why the plan changed and that the work going on was not the work we agreed to pay for. John seemed astounded I would question why the plan changed and said his foreman gets to make the call on if the plan needs to be followed. I discussed the plan with the foreman, and he couldn't explain why the plan changed aside from that the plan was unnecessary. I pointed out the areas of asphalt overlaid on concrete that would be 1" thick or less, expressing concern these areas would crack. The foreman said they wouldn't crack. My husband called John to discuss that we would not be paying for the driveway at the price we agreed to since the work that was meant to be completed was not completed to full value. My husband also requested an extended warranty since we do not believe the asphalt will last. John called my husband a "deadbeat" for asking for a price reduction and wished my husband luck if we ever needed a warranty follow-up. The reason we negotiated a price reduction is because we know the company is unethical and will not follow-up with the warranty claims, nor would we want to work with them on a warranty claim anyway.
