Truckee Summit Paving

Juan and his team are the BEST! I needed a full driveway replacement and chose Truckee Summit Paving over a handful of other contractors. Juan gained my complete trust with our first phone conversation as he listened carefully to my drainage issues and agreed that, along with ensuring the proper driveway slope, a drainage grate in front of my garage would be beneficial. Juan’s price was fair, his team completed the work on time and efficiently, and the driveway looked beautiful. The real test came weeks later with an afternoon rainstorm. I was thrilled to see all the water draining properly towards the garage and that the grate was placed in the perfect location capturing the water directly above from the roof as well as all the water from the driveway leaving the pavement dry between the grate and the garage. My drainage issues are resolved! Juan and crew, I can’t thank you enough for a job well done!

Pros who are responsive to your calls, explain the process, listen to your needs and adjust the scope of work accordingly, build trust and reduce misunderstandings. Juan with Truckee Summit Paving did just that and stood out from the handful of contractors I had contacted for my driveway replacement. His price was fair, the work was performed with efficiency, and the outcome was exceptional. I am very happy with my new driveway and highly recommend Juan and his team!

From the careful preparation to the final completion, the craftsmanship, professionalism, and attention to detail truly exceeded our expectations. It is refreshing to work with someone who takes such pride in their work. The finished driveway is beautiful. Thank you for a job exceptionally well done. We gladly give you a ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ star review and will happily serve as a reference for anyone looking for quality workmanship.

Summary: Summit did a great job with our driveway extension in Tahoe Donner. We will definitely call them back if we have a need for any other paving work in the future. Bravo. Gory details: Before we started the job, I called around to 4 places and got 3 bids, one place wouldn't even give a bid so they were obviously off the list. Juan from Summit was the most responsive, was the best priced, and had the best recommendations on how we should do the job. We planned the job last year (fall of 2025) but had to hold off for Tahoe Donner HOA to approve the permit and then we ran into winter season. So they honored the same job at the beginning of this season (spring of 2026). Once we were able to get on their schedule as soon as they opened up spring services, they came right on time, prepped and moved the excess soil to the rest of our yard as we asked, and got the new asphalt installed in about a half day. They had a full crew (6-7 guys) to do the major machinery jobs in parallel with the fine tuning excess dirt cleanup and grading adjustments. The driveway looks great and really opens up the space with useable turnout and extra parking spots. They will be our go to company for any new paving work we might need in the future.

We used Truckee Summit and Paving to replace our driveway. They were exceptional to work with. Juan, the owner was involved for the entire project. He helped us to come up with a better drainage plan to our sloped driveway. His crew was so friendly and professional. I knew the day Juan came to bid the project that we’d most likely go with him. He made it an ever easier decision by following up the next day with the bid and then a phone call to see if we had questions. I had called two other companies in Truckee to come bid the project. One company never returned my call, the other never followed up when they said they would. Truckee Summit and Paving is professional, timely, and wonderful to work with!!
