Prime location, a block away from state street. Booked for my parents to stay over at one of the king suites for my grad weekend. Stayed for almost a week and never skipped the breakfast. They loved it! Shoutout to Chris and Nancy, made the checkin and checkout process ever so seamless.

I was here for business. It was great that what I was in town for was also happening in the Fluno Center. They have parking underneath, the staff was friendly, the breakfast buffet was great, and the rooms were comfortable. Another benefit is it is right in the heart of downtown Madison, lots of options for food and entertainment just outside the doors. Overall, it was a great experience and I hope to have business in the area again that brings me to the Fluno Center

I stayed at the Fluno Center during UW-Madison's SOAR orientation and Graduation weekend in a Double Queen Room. The South View overlooks Witte, Gordon Dining, the Nic. The North View overlooks University Ave and is across the street from Wando's and Double U. I have stayed at Union South's hotel and prefer the Fluno Center because of it's proximity to State Street/Capitol square restaurants/bars and Kohl Center. Breakfast was included at Fluno Center and overnight self-parking in their garage is less than what the nearby hotel chains charge. Smitty's Pub on the 8th floor opens at 4pm and is a hidden gem with it's views, happy hour specials and pool table. I appreciated the disclosure note on every table that stated that their staff are paid fair wages and cannot accept gratuity and if left, will go to charity. Service was slow and inattentive despite it not being busy. The rooms are spacious and clean. The bathroom is dated. The wall hair dryer was not good, and I eventually noticed the discretely labeled hairdryer in the bottom drawer under the TV. It might be better to put a sign in the bathroom so guests know where to look for the additional hairdryer. Overall, the Fluno Center hotel is a great place to stay! In addition to campus visits, SOAR, graduation, and game weekends, I highly recommend it's location especially if your student lives in the downtown, State, Langdon area. Lastly, Karla, a manager is wonderful. I had a situation with my booking and was incredibly touched by her customer-service and help. She really cares about guest experiences at the Fluno Center.

After sharing a personal situation and calling 3x to try to reach manager Carla to help with a cancellation she chose not to offer us a refund. We booked the day before as we were concerned of our ability to make it due to our situation. For hotel that wasn’t even full, the humane thing to do would’ve been to offer some relief instead of a kick a family when they’re down. Beware when booking here and the strong strict corporate policies they have at this place.

We had our wedding at the Fluno Center this fall and it was wonderful! The dining staff was amazing, the space was elegant, and we had a great evening. The managers who worked our event came up to me and brought me apps twice, and were kind in letting us know what apps were running low and when dinner could be served. Our family was really impressed with their communication- they chatted with our parents and helped keep the night running smoothly. The venue is beautiful- the views were great, the rooms were clean, and the staff was EXCELLENT. The room rates were reasonable for downtown Madison and the overall rental charges and food prices were even better in comparison to other venues. With this space, it felt like we could really dive into the "Madison experience" with everything in walking distance and with odes to the university all around. The rooms were spacious and clean- I'll be hosting our collaborators and future events here! The food was outstanding- everyone is still talking about their meal and how good the breakfast was for hotel breakfast. We popped over to Smitty's Pub on Thursday night to try food and it was great. On Friday, our family met Mr. Fluno, who was on site for an event! For the tasting, you are hosted as a small group (Friday Afternoons only) with the chef, who worked with us to curate our menu and accommodate dietary needs. He was especially kind and attentive and really delivered on presentation and taste. We have friends with complicated dietary needs and they felt really cared for. They continue to talk about the attention and accommodation they received- it was truly appreciated. A few minors things did come up- we felt that the servers took food away during dinner before people finished- I got up to use the restroom and my half eaten meal and half drink were taken away. Friends at our table had to tell servers to keep drinks and apps/meals on their tables for others who stepped away. At the end of the night, we had until midnight to
