Wells & Sons Paving

Only because there are not negative stars On Oct 1 I was approached by Joshua Wells with an offer to asphalt my driveway. In his slick-talk sales pitch, he told me the only way to take care of the weeds was to asphalt. The only amount he mentioned was $5000, which I agreed to pay. Nothing more was said until he presented me with a bill for $15,000! (i have since been told it shouldn't have cost more than $6000 and it would have been done right) The first weed poked through 5 days later. It took a month for them to respond. By first freeze, there were 10 more. No response from Wells. Now I have large patches of grass and thistles growing through the asphalt. Wells does not answer calls or return messages. On that same day on October, a neighbor asked for an estimate for his driveway. Wells promptly paved his driveway without providing an estimate or receiving authorization and billed him $20,000. He is having the same issues that I am with thin asphalt and weeds. Wells told him over 7 weeks ago that he'd be back in 2 or 3 weeks to work on the problems. He ignored the fact that I wanted to talk to him too. Complaint on file with Ohio State Attorney General
