Parking lot resurfacing
Resurfacing puts a new wearing layer on a lot whose base is still sound. It costs less than replacement and is much faster.
Free. No obligation. We'll match your request with up to 3 contractors that fit the project.
Overlay versus mill and overlay
A straight overlay adds height, which can cause problems at curbs, doors and drains. Milling first removes the top layer so the new surface keeps the original grades.
When it will not work
If the base has failed, a new surface will crack again quickly. Expect contractors to recommend patching failed areas before the overlay.
What to ask contractors
- Milling depth and overlay thickness
- Which areas need patching first
- How transitions at curbs and doors are handled
- Restriping included or separate
Questions
- How long does a lot stay closed?
- It depends on size and phasing. Ask each contractor for a section-by-section schedule.
